Our Mission: “We adopt and cultivate lives fascinated by Jesus.”
Worth Love Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) ministry of the church founded by Phil and Christy Carlson in January of 2012. We want to see Jesus Christ, the Lamb that was slain, receive the reward of His sufferings through men, women, and children rooted and grounded in the love and knowledge of Him, radiating with continuously burning love for Jesus on earth.
Currently, our work at Worth Love Ministries includes:
- Mentoring both believers and non-believers into a relationship with Jesus
- Engaging in and providing assistance for outreaches to the student body of SMU.
- Training people in the place of personal devotional prayer, corporate intercession, and lifestyle evangelism that follows the pattern of the evangelistic witness of the early church while participating in acts of community service in partnership with God that line up with Biblical standards.
Long term, we envision Worth Love Ministries expanding to include a direct outreach to widows and orphans. We believe that America’s greatest “widow population” is actually comprised of single mothers, the sexually trafficked and post-abortive women; the greatest orphan population includes the brokenhearted and unwanted, unborn babies at risk of being killed before they are born. For this reason, Worth Love Ministries’ vision for the future includes sharing the Gospel with, healing, housing, and training the modern-day widows of America, while also rescuing and saving unwanted babies, raising each one as our own children unless suitable adoptive parents are found.
At the center of this vision is having a thriving on-site “house of prayer” (a community and place of day and night devotional prayer including Scripturally driven worship and intercession), around which all other activities proceed. We envision having an orphanage, living facilities and a prayer room on several acres of land to accommodate a beyond-organic farm that provides food and income for the women and children living with us. Additionally, the farm would be a family-based outreach to the greater Dallas-Fort Worth community, providing an opportunity to spiritually feed thousands on the food of the Gospel while also feeding physical bodies sustainably and responsibly.
